Plastic Systems have just completed and delivered a large tank for a PCB manufacturing plant in Scotland. The Polypropylene tank is to replace a damaged one in a copper plating process line. On this occasion the customer supplied a full set of engineering drawings which enabled us to fabricate the tank exactly to their specification and in a short 4 week lead time.
The tank is fabricated from 12mm thick natural PPC material and is of a fully welded construction having 50x50mm encapsulated box section welded outside, to stop the tank walls bowing. We also added air sparger bars for agitation and feed/return pipe work for filter pump connections. Also we machined and fitted anode bar brackets to hold the copper anode rails, which in turn are connected to the customers rectification systems.
